Facility Commissioning Group corporate office is located at 158 Burt Road, Lexington, KY 40503. Our Indianapolis branch office is located at 8355 Rockville Road, Suite 36, Indianapolis, IN 46234.

FCG offers an advocacy service to Owners and Operators of buildings which provides a high level of assurance for proper installation and operation of systems within performance tested guidelines set forth in the owner’s project requirements.

FCG affords the Owner an unbiased perspective of system installation, operation and performance, and monitors specified systems service and training events. The commissioning process does not alter the responsibilities of design professionals, installing contractors or their vendors, but rather augments the efforts of these parties toward the common goal of achieving a quality product that promotes the delivery of a safe, healthy environment for building occupants by turning over functionally tested systems with appropriate documentation and training for owners and operators.

Detailed responsibilities and expectations of this position are detailed below:

  • When not onsite the candidate will work from home or report an FCG office location
  • Participate in meetings consistent with their position as a professional services provider
  • Support commissioning meetings and record minutes
  • Create customized Pre-Functional Checklists and Functional Performance Tests
  • Conduct site observation visits, witness systems startups, and record observations for field reports
  • Document, track, and facilitate resolution of commissioning issues
  • Review equipment startup and testing reports
  • Review contractor reports (TAB, Electrical Coordination Study, Low Voltage Systems)
  • Coordinate and review Pre-Functional Checklists
  • Coordinate, direct, and document Functional Performance Tests under supervision of a CxA
  • Record training of O&M personnel
  • Ability to work productively from home, FCG office location, or client project site
  • High School Diploma required and Associate’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Technology preferred
  • Current Drivers License
  • Ability to pass drug screening and background checks for secure project sites
  • The following qualifications are desirable, but not required
    • Experience in Building Automation Systems
    • Experience in Test and Balance
    • Experience in Lighting Controls
    • Experience in Low Voltage Systems (Fire Alarm, Access Control, CCTV)
    • Ability to obtain relevant commissioning certifications including Certified Commissioning Technician (CxT) from the AABC Commissioning Group (ACG)

Facility Commissioning Group seeks a qualified Office/Procurement Assistant to join our experienced team to help support commissioning practice in our Lexington, Kentucky office.  See below for additional details and online application.

Looking for a responsible person with Office/Procurement/Administrative experience and/or knowledge who is primarily responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Lexington office and interaction between company offices (Lexington and Indianapolis). Detailed responsibilities and expectations of this position are detailed below:

  • Assist in managing/maintaining daily office activities to help meet company deadlines
  • Recording project statistics/reports
  • Logging incoming and outgoing documents (drawings, submittals, transmittals)
  • Processing Insurance and liability certificates
  • Processing Federal forms (SF-330, SF-1413, W-9 Davis-Bacon Exemption Letters)
  • Scheduling/Coordinating company activities (Dinners, Conferences, Seasonal events)
  • Work closely with company associates in meeting project deadlines
  • Proofing and reviewing content/format of deliverables generated by associates
  • File and project document maintenance
  • Document production (assembling and producing paper/electronic reports)
  • Ability to work productively from home or FCG office location
  • High School Diploma required
  • Current Drivers License
  • Computer literate with word processing and spreadsheet software, including MS Word and Excel
  • Analytical, problem-solving, organizational and planning abilities
